Why Obasanjo called Rochas Okorocha ‘bigger thief’ – Nnamdi Kanu [AUDIO]

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has revealed how Governor Rochas Okorocha deceived former President Olusegun Obasanjo over a military jet used by former Military Head of States.

Kanu claimed that Obasanjo had directed the Imo State Governor to sell-off a Presidential jet used by former Military Head of States, Gen Sani Abacha(rtd) and Abdusalami Abubakar (rtd).

The IPOB leader alleged that rather than dispose the jet, Okorocha converted it to his personal use, a situation that made Obasanjo to describe him as a “bigger thief.”

Kanu claimed that Okorocha informed Obasanjo that the jet was “not worth it” only for him to turn around and procure the jet for a token.

In an audio retrieved online, Kanu said, “Okorocha was given a contract to supply police uniform and also to supply Hilux vans, the person that approved the contract was Babangida and that was your entry into governance.

“After a while, Obasanjo came in and you were still very close to those of them that Babangida introduced you to courtesy of T.Y. Danjuma.

“There was a problem with the jet you are flying now which you claim to own, I now want to tell the world how you got it and if I’m lying people should ask Olusegun Obasanjo and he will confirm this very story I’m about to disclose.

“The problem started when Obasanjo asked Okorcha to refurbish a Military jet used by former Military Head of States, Abdulsalami Abubakar and Sani Abacha because he did not want to use it, he wanted a new one.

“Following the directive, the very contract was given to ‘AgbugaHausa’ that is Okorocha to refurbish the aircraft but Okorocha came back and told Obasanjo that the jet was no longer worth it and it should be scrapped.

“Obasanjo gave him the go ahead to sell the aircraft but he bought it himself.

“There was nothing wrong with the jet, it only needed servicing and that is the private jet he has today.
“Why did Obasanjo openly call you a thief? Why did he say he thought he gave Imo people a thief in Ohakim but he did not know a bigger thief was coming which is Okorocha.

“Why did Obasanjo say that? Because you condemned an aircraft, saying it was not good only to turn around and buy it as scrap for a very little money. That is the private jet you have today, is that not correct?”
