Three pupils die after allegedly eating biscuits from classmate in Abuja


Three pupils of Local Education Authority Primary School, Kubwa 2, Federal Capital Territory, have reportedly died after eating some biscuits.The snack was allegedly shared to the victims by an unidentified classmate on Tuesday.Two pupils were said to have died at home in the night, while the third victim reportedly collapsed and died at Kubwa General Hospital on Wednesday.The victims, said to be primary four pupils, include Na’imat Yahaya, 14, and Yahaya Garba also 14, who reportedly died after returning to their homes in Kubwa.

Yobe attack: I’ll return to school if Buratai becomes the gateman – Student


Faiza Mohammed, one of the girls who escaped Boko Haram attack, at Government Girls’ Science and Technical College Dapchi says she will not go back to school except the Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Yusuf Tukur Buratai becomes the gateman of the school.
Faiza speaking to newsmen, stressed the need for authorities to beef up security in the school to allay fears.

BREAKING: Military rescue abducted Yobe school girls inside bush


The Nigerian Military have rescued the abducted Yobe school girls on Wednesday night.
They were rescued at Jilli-Muwarti, a border village between Gaidam in Yobe state and Borno State.
It is still unclear how many of the girls they rescued.
Mr. Abdullahi Bego, Director-General Press Affairs to Governor Ibrahim Gaidam said the girls were currently in the custody of the Nigerian military.

Presidency debunks Yusuf Buhari’s death rumour


The Presidency has refuted claims on social media that President Buhari's son, Yusuf, has died. There were reports on social media early this morning that Yusuf, who survived a ghastly motorbike accident in December last year and is currently receiving medical attention in a German hospital, had passed on,
President Buhari's Personal Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, took to her twitter page to debunk the report. She said the news is fake. See her tweet below.

Yusuf Buhari was involved in an accident on December 26 in Abuja when he, along with a friend, was racing in the Nigerian capital and he veered off the road in the process.
According to the Presidency, Yusuf broke a limb and had an injury to the head. He later underwent surgery at Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja.
While there were rumours that he was flown abroad for further treatment, sources at the Presidency insisted the surgery done in Nigeria was enough.
