Arsenal vs Manchester United: Mourinho won’t ‘park the bus’ against Arsenal – Wenger


Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is not expecting Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to set his team up defensively when the sides clash on Saturday despite his reputation for “ parking the bus” in big matches.

United travel to the Emirates Stadium sitting second in the Premier League and on the back of a 4- 2 win at Watford in midweek.

2019: Kwankwaso tells supporters to dump APC


A former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has reportedly asked his supporters in the state to dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to his nephew, Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, who is also the Commissioner for Special Duties in Kano State, the former governor had asked his supporters to join the PDP ahead of the forthcoming local council election in the state.

US donates Vehicles to NDLEA


National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has received donation from The United States Government to support the agency.

According to a statement on Wednesday by the US Consulate General in Lagos, the gesture was an extension of the US government’s support for the counter-narcotics agency.

Man in court for using N10m mistakenly deposited to his account


The Chief Executive Officer of an oil and gas company, Olukunle Owolabi, was on Tuesday arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate’s Court, sitting at Igbosere, for allegedly using the N10m mistakenly deposited into his bank account.

Owolabi, who resides in Ogudu GRA, Lagos, is facing a 1-count charge of fraud preferred against him by the Police.

Fuel scarcity looms in Lagos as oil marketers threaten shutdown


Independent petroleum marketers in Lagos have threatened to withdraw their services from December 11, over the alleged breach of agreement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

The marketers in the state, claim the NNPC has defaulted in a bulk purchase agreement to sell fuel to them at N133.28 per litre.

Lacazette, who opened scoring for the Gunners as they thrashed Hudderfield 5-0 on Wednesday, was taken off at half time and replaced by Olivier Giroud.

Zimbabwe ’s newly sworn -in President Emmerson Mnangagwa praised outgoing leader Robert Mugabe as “ the father of the nation” during his inauguration address on Friday.

South East roads worst in the country – Nigerian government


The Federal Government, yesterday, described all roads in the South-South and South-East geopolitical zones as ‘worst in Nigeria.’

Disclosing this in Abuja when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, headed by Senator Magnus Abe, Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, noted that some of the major federal roads in the 11 states were constructed before the 1967-1970 Nigerian Civil War, and that efforts were being put in place to fix the roads.

Abubakar confirmed this in a statement he personally signed on Friday.

He also gave reasons for quitting the party.

However, he did not state which party he intends to join, but said he is pondering on his political future.
